We left New York on the 19th, and stopped briefly for ship’s business at Cartegena, Colombia without passengers getting off. On the 24th and 25 we made a transit of the Panama Canal.
We’ve had a very good time so far at sea. Here are two pictures of our cabin.
The first night out, we attended a reception with the Queen Mary 2’s Captain, Andrew Hall. Tonight was a red and gold gala. (Thanks Maria for my scarf!)

Didi Conn (Beauty School Dropout) from Grease did Q&A. Dottie talked with her after about her new show, Best Medicine, after the event.
On the 24th the Queen Mary 2 had a Burns Supper,
and we were served haggis, It was delicious.
We’ve also met some interesting people. One is Iris, whose son is an astronaut who’s been up four times. Another one of the folks at our table is Terry, who spent a career as a ship’s officer on British freighters.
